My primary goal in providing therapy is to equip children, adolescents, and adult individuals with the tools they need to be successful with their families, relationships, school, work and future.
I work from a person-centered theoretical framework and draw on many different techniques in order to help prepare clients with the tools they need. My practice focuses on a wide age range in clients and different techniques are used for different age ranges. Play therapy is the main therapeutic intervention for children ages 3-12 years of age. Play techniques are coupled with cognitive behavioral therapy for ages 12-18. A variety of techniques are used when working with adults. Some of the techniques that I incorporate in my practice include but are not limited to cognitive behavioral techniques, psychoeducation, bibliotherapy, sand tray therapy, traditional talk therapy, and play therapy.
I am trained in Prolonged Exposure Therapy and Cognitive Process Therapy for PTSD
